I haven’t written on my blog for a while, but I feel personally moved today to write here.
Ivan was only 6 years old when he passed away, dying at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London earlier today.
As I share the same name as David Cameron, I often hear ‘my’ name being called out on the TV news and the kids taking great delight in telling me that Daddy – David Cameron is on the television again. Perhaps that is why I feel tremendous affinity with for David, Samantha and their children today.
No parent should expect that they outlive their child and my deepest thoughts and sympathy reaches out to the Cameron family today and the coming days as they grieve over the loss of Ivan.
