Joytech Power Station destroyed my Wii remotes
Like many people out there, we have a huge number of remotes around the television with no eay way to keep things nice and tidy.
The Joytech Wii Power Station seemed like a great idea and I purchased one to store my two Wii remotes (there is also space for 2 Nunchuks too, but that seems like a pretty useless feature), with the bonus that it came with rechargeable battery packs that the Power Station would keep in tip-top condition ready for play.
Unfortunately after being on holiday, I found myself unable to play on the Wii as the remotes would not power up. The first hint was on picking up the remotes and finding that they were warm to the touch.

Changing for ordinary Duracells made no difference and the remotes were turned to bricks.
I looked at worst case and thought that I would have to buy two new remotes (£50) as I would get caught between two companies each asking me to prove that they were responsible.
I was amazed when I called Joytech that there was a no quibble agreement that they would replace all product, subject to me sending it to them. Whilst I still have to receive the replacements (up to 28 days quoted), it was refreshing that a company would stand up and accept responsibility for the issue and the consequential loss.
So, if anyone else finds themselves in the same position with a dead Wii Remote after using a Joytech Power Station, please give their Product Support Team a call (UK number is freephone 0800 3899647 and is open every day from 9am until 10pm).
Hopefully it is looking like I will have the Joy back in my Tech within 28 days.
Though it is a shame that many customers have been inconvenienced or even gone to the expense of buying new remotes, I must congratulate Joytech for the way they have dealt with my complaint so far.
If you have also had the same problem, what has your experience been? Please post your comments ..... Did you get everything replaced? How quickly? or did they come back with a different response to mine?
